The Bellwether

Formerly known as Glam Slam West and once owned by Prince throughout the 80s and 90s, The Bellwether holds a storied history as a nightlife icon in Los Angeles. Following a tour of this beautiful venue, we envisioned The Bellwether's billboard mural to captivate music and comedy lovers in Echo Park. Inspired by tent revival posters from the 1920s and 30s, infused with the grungy alternative aesthetic of the 90s, we hand-painted vibrant portraits of the lineup acts. These portraits embody the venue's welcoming and eclectic atmosphere, inviting diverse audiences to immerse themselves in The Bellwether’s rich cultural tapestry.
